An early goal in the 11th minute from Brisbane Roar striker Jamie MacLaren provided the Roar with a third consecutive win as they defeated Melbourne City 1-0 at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
Both sides started well, however the hosts took an early lead as MacLaren pounced on a loose ball after Tommy Oar rounded City keeper Bouzanis to net his second goal so far this season.
City enjoyed large spells of possession, however it was the Roar that looked to score again on the counter with Jamie MacLaren missing several chances to seal the win.
